FusionFlix Entertainment was founded in 1990 by Nathan Todd Sims and his wife Gina. Fresh out of college, they acquired the rights to a small local cable television series for only $600. The Brownwood Lion Football Review was Fusion Productions' first venture into professional video production.
Now, with over 30 years experience and 350 project credits, Sims continues to guide Fusion with his right hand gal, Gina, who serves as Vice President. He has been honored around the world in numerous film festivals and competitions such as IAC (England), Melbourne (Australia), WorldFest Houston, Envoy Film Festival, CINE, Temecula Valley, and American Film Renaissance. He has won 24 Telly Awards, the top production award for advertising, corporate, and promotional video and film productions.
Fusion television productions currently air approximately 15 times each and every week and Sims' indie feature film, Echoes of Innocence, received distribution in Spain, New Zealand, and Turkey after its theatrical and subsequent DVD release in the U.S.
Team Effort
On average, 30 to 50 people work on a Fusion production. From camera operators to animators, music composers to lighting directors, Fusion combines full time staff with independent production support while partnering with other top quality companies for the success of every project.
Industry Leadership
Nathan Todd Sims served three years (2005-2007) as president of the prestigious 30 year old Dallas Producers Association, increasing membership by more than 120% to 180 member companies and tripling revenue. While president, he successfully created and launched a new statewide film industry organization called the Texas Motion Picture Alliance, which quickly grew to over 5,000 members in less than six months. As Legislative Chair for the organization, Sims worked closely with the Governor’s Office and led the successful effort to pass film incentives for the first time in the history of the state of Texas. The incentives have been credited with energizing the lagging Texas film industry. Annual production revenue has increased from $320 million in 2007 to a projected $650 million in 2012! The state estimates that over 63,000 jobs have been created by the incentive effort.
